Open Position: Advanced Metal Fabricator

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Metal Fabricator with emphasis on aluminum or stainless structural welding.

Desired qualifications for this position include the following:

  • Ability to read, interpret and create take-offs and measurements from shop drawings
  • Ability to test and (visually?) inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify deficiencies when compared to specifications
  • Ability to verify that finished product meets ThemeWorks quality standards
  • Ability to select appropriate materials, equipment, and method for efficient and effective completion of metal fabrication tasks
  • Experience with GMAW/FCAW and the ability to pass a certification test
  • Ability to weld a variety of metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses
  • Motivated to continually develop technical knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Since ThemeWorks was founded, we have sought out unique and challenging projects – from the world’s largest installation of a urethane rockwork system in a zoological facility to an interactive play structure inside of a forty-foot sculpture of a boy in a children’s museum.
