Open Position: Production Designer
We are currently seeking a Production Designer to join our team in High Springs, FL (just outside of Gainesville). The Production Designer will work with project teams to establish fabrication approaches, select materials, and develop technical drawings that will be used in the fabrication of our work. The designer’s primary duties will be to consult with other team members who will provide expertise in various aspects of fabrication, then produce well thought out, complete, and clear drawings that align with budget and time constraints and achieve the original design intent.
Desired qualifications for this position include the following:
- A graduate or undergraduate degree in Industrial design, architecture, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience
- Working knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD or SolidWorks with a minimum of 1 year working experience
- Experience with developing fully detailed fabrication or construction drawing packages, BIM experience is a plus
- Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to produce under tight deadlines
- Flexible, self-motivated and goal orientated
- Must be a self-starter who works well in a team
