Open Position: Specialty Paint Artist
We are currently seeking a skilled Specialty Paint Artist to join our team in High Springs, FL (just outside of Gainesville).
Desired qualifications for this position include the following:
- Previous experience in high-end sign painting, airbrushed murals, custom automotive art or other related field utilizing a high degree of skill and artistry in paint finishes
- Highly skilled with airbrush/touch-up gun paint application, both freehand and utilizing masks
- Adept at application of paints, including catalyzed paint systems
- Skilled with brush applied paint, including line art
- Previous experience as an artist, especially as a scenic or commercial artist
- Experience with themed/scenic paint, including color matching and mixing, blending, layering, etc.
- Ability to work with art direction to accurately and efficiently produce desired results
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Faux finish, wood graining, and scenic texturing experience a plus
- Hand painted lettering experience a plus
- Character painting experience a plus
Requirements:
- Perform necessary tasks in a safe manner
- Ability to multi-task/cross train within various departments
- Motivated to continually develop technical knowledge and skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Since ThemeWorks was founded, we have sought out unique and challenging projects – from the world’s largest installation of a urethane rockwork system in a zoological facility to an interactive play structure inside of a forty-foot sculpture of a boy in a children’s museum.
